VIETNAM WAR PROTEST MUSIC

best-vietnam-songs-1505510264.jpg

During the Vietnam War, music provided important insight into cultural attitudes during a time of significant political and social change. Protest music embodied the anti-war sentiments felt widely throughout the United States, specifically among the younger generation.

Artists such as Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Phil Ochs, and John Lennon wrote and released some of the most iconic anti-Vietnam War songs. The music included themes of peace, disconnectedness from the war, and despair.
